SALADS STAY CHILLED AND FRESH ON A BED OF ICE. High quality 18/8 stainless steel upper salad bowl (4.5 quart) nests inside thick polystyrene lower bowl (6 quart). Place cubed or crushed ice about 1/3 high in lower ice bowl and position the upper salad bowl into the lower bowl by pushing down into ice so good contact is made with the ice. The upper stainless steel bowl gets very cold with the ice below. Salad bowl can be spun on ice for a special presentation. Acrylic dome lid keeps the cold air in and the bugs out.
